Whether it’s your 18th, 21st, or 30th, City Hall offers a stunning space to celebrate the moments that matter most. Nestled on the top floor of the iconic Centre Cinema Building, our open-plan heritage interior and sweeping balcony create the perfect backdrop for a night your guests won’t forget.
We take care of the details—food, drinks, and styling—so you can focus on celebrating. Our team will work with you to bring your vision to life, whether you’re imagining an elegant sit-down dinner, a cocktail party that carries on past midnight, or something in between.
The Debut
Your 18th only happens once. Make it a night worth remembering—and one that's worthy of the moment. City Hall accommodates up to 200 guests for a cocktail-style celebration, or up to 100 seated, giving you the flexibility to host everyone from your closest friends to the whole year group. With our licensed bar, in-house catering, and a balcony overlooking the heart of the CBD, it's an 18th that sets the standard.
Coming of Age
The 21st is the big one. At City Hall, you'll have exclusive use of the entire venue—no shared spaces, no interruptions, just your night. Choose from a relaxed cocktail format or a seated dinner, with food and beverage packages tailored to suit your style and budget. Our team is here to make the planning easy, so by the time the night arrives, all you have to do is walk in.
The Thirty
A 30th calls for something a little more considered. City Hall's heritage setting—warm, eclectic, and unlike any ordinary function room—makes it the ideal space for a celebration that reflects where you've arrived. Whether you're hosting an intimate dinner for 40 or a cocktail party for 150, we'll tailor the experience to you.
What's Included
City Hall venue hire includes exclusive use of the full space—main room, private bar, kitchen, and alfresco balcony. Tables, chairs, bar stools, and bar tables are all included, along with our commercial sound system with Bluetooth and AUX connectivity.
Food and beverage packages can be tailored to your event. Decorations can be added for an additional cost—our team is happy to help you find the right look for your celebration.
Capacity
200 guests — cocktail / standing 100 guests — seated on long tables 80 guests — seated on tables of 10 (with dancefloor)
Pricing
Evening venue hire is included for birthday parties provided you meet the minimum spend of $7,000.00 over a 4 hour period. (Venue hire is for 4 hours from 5:30pm, with option to extend).
